BONNIE PRUDDEN EXERCISE---
Your Body Will Thank You!
Those of us who exercise regularly have certain important advantages over those who lead more sedentary lives:
| Active people age more slowly. Most of us start out with wonderfully slim bodies as young adults. Then what happens? The scale tips in the direction of overweight, and in all the wrong places! Impossible to remain youthful and healthy looking as we age? No, but it takes work! And appearance isn't the only plus! | |
| Because active people can resist stress better, they are more likely to avoid the use of drugs and alcohol with its unavoidable decay. | |
| By keeping body weight down, active people maintain their blood pressure at a lower level. | |
| Due to exercise, active people are stronger and more flexible. | |
| They have greater breathing capacity which means more oxygen throughout the entire body. | |
| Their pulse rates are lower which proves less strain on crucial organs. | |
| They have less neuro-muscular and emotional tension and are rarely tired. |
It is ideal to attend a Bonnie Prudden Exercise class once a day, but at least two times a week. A typical class lasts about an hour. It's the work that you put into it that determines the pay-off. And it's fun!
A Bonnie Prudden Exercise class starts out with warm up exercises. Some classes start out with stretching exercises, calling them warm ups. But stretching a cold muscle is very dangerous. Others have you jumping around a lot, which can cause muscle spasm in the calf and pelvic muscles, the major causes of knee pain, back pain and impotence. Warm up exercises are designed to warm up cold muscles so that they are ready for strengthening. These exercises are done to cheerful, brink music. After warming up, strengthening exercises are performed then endurance and progression followed by flexibility and cool down exercises. The program concludes with a series of relaxation exercises.
Bonnie Prudden exercises can build muscle more effectively! Efficient use of muscles depends not only on resistance, but also on range of motion and coordination. All three requirements of physical fitness are addressed in a Bonnie Prudden Exercise program.
Women usually like to wear tights while men wear shorts. The idea is to wear something that is non-restrictive to move in. No shoes! Surprised? We'll teach you why in class!
